Had my baby a week ago. What do I need to do in terms of maternity leave and health insurance? Who do I notify?

You have to request leave on SOLAS everything is done online, you upload the baby's birth certificate there and request your desired leave, #of days ec. For health insurance you need to add a dependent the form is on the DOE website and you have to fax birth certificate

How long does the birth certificate take to come? Could you send me link to add the dependent? Do I need to do anything with the union too?

Yes, you also need to add your dependent to the coverage of prescriptions. You can Google adding a dependent for uft. As far as the birth certificate, sometimes it comes later (depends on when your doctor signed it and when the hospital sent it out), but you can request a certificate of live birth from the hospital and use that. You submit everything on solas. It's pretty annoying, but it's the only way to do things now.
