The Night Of
Box seemed to be the most righteous character and the one who was always after the "truth". To me the ending was clear that Naz had not committed the murder.
My takeaway from the story is that anyone is capable of anything under the right circumstances

The show was never about the murder. Or Andrea.
It was about our judicial system. Our pre conceived notions Our loneliness and need for a companion (the cat). How one night. One day can change your life forever. Bc whatever the outcome was so many lives have changed.
Stone. Box. The parents. The drug dealer. Duane reade. Freddy. Petey. Both lawyers. And of course Naz
The writing of this show is incredible and john turtorro deserves a Emmy. For that closing argument alone. It's why his condition and the wrapping of the feet played a important part It showed in his closing argument
Do I wish they actually showed the events of the night. Yes. But I don't think that was he purpose of the show
Just my take. I enjoyed it very much
I agree with this as well. What role did the wrapping of the feet play in his closing argument-- I totally missed this!

I think it was showed throughout bc his condition gave people a notion of him. Like he wasn't taken serious. The shoes. The stick and the itching. Everyone made a joke of him
Then at the end he was covered and he had to give that closing argument and even apologized to the jury for how he looked
It was part of him over coming this journey And for me that closing argument is what made the jury deadlock. He would have been convicted of not for that
Hope that makes sense lol

Yes, agree... the show was about much more than the murder itself, and was a look at our justice system. But they had such great actors to work with and just failed to make a good show IMO

Yes, agree... the show was about much more than the murder itself, and was a look at our justice system. But they had such great actors to work with and just failed to make a good show IMO
I did not read the link yet, I did enjoy the show, I do think it could have had more drama and depth, but I think it leaves us wondering what really happened.

I thought it was a little slow at the beginning but the last two episodes were really good. I likedon't the way it ended. I still can't get over how the lawyer was going to let him take the fall for the murder even though she had her doubts. Are they really doing another season? I wonder if it'll be based on the bf.

I thought this show was great! I'm a little bummed about the ending - I would have liked to see a conclusion of innocent or guilty but I do agree that the entire concept of the show is supposed to be about the system, not the murder. Overall it was an awesome show.

Just finished this series and I thought it was absolutely amazing!! EXCELLENT, excellent show with incredible writing, interesting characters, a gripping story, and phenomenal acting!! I am SO upset it's over, I really enjoyed it!! I think it ended the right way, I think it was an interesting perspective on our legal and prison system, and ultimately it was just a really good story. Bravo HBO!

No other season. It was meant to be a special "Limited Series" and the last episode was referred to as the "SERIES finale"..............not season finale.

I finally finished the entire series. I agree. Thought it was an amazing show! Surprised to see how many were disappointed with it.
