OITNB - SPOILERS!!!
Stop reading if you haven't finished the season yet.
I didn't realize just how much I liked Poussey's character until they killed her off. Watching her afterlife scenes was so interesting.
Piper's quick, emotional recovery from the branding was ridiculous. She brought Blanca, one of the women who held her down, a granola bar?
I'm wondering how long into the next season before Daya's mom is back in prison.
I loved Lolly's character. She was so interesting to watch and I'm sad to see her go.
Suzanne's backstory was heart-wrenching to watch. So incredibly sad.

I was really disappointed with last season but I though this season was great! Piper's branding had my jaw dropping... but yeah she seemed fine after 1 episode, which is a little weird. I felt so bad for Maritza too with the mouse/bugs game... Totally grossed me out!
I CANNOT believe that they killed Poussey off. I knew something was gonna happen bc they focused so much on her and Soso, but I didn't expect THAT. It makes sense though - as soon as she has someone she loves and has a job offer waiting when she gets out, you knew something bad was gonna happen. She was my absolute favorite character and I was in total shock and didn't believe she was actually dead until they had her covered. Loved that they focused on her amazing night in Brooklyn in honor of her.
SO sad to see her gone.. but now I'm really looking forward to next season. They are leaving the viewers hanging in the middle of a storm, which is pretty smart. And I'm definitely curious to see what Daya does!

OITNB - SPOILERS!!!
Late to this but MY GOODNESS ! The beginning was a little slow but I think this was the best season so far ! I am so sad Poussey is gone, she was one of my faves ! Watching Piper get branded was hard ! And that one CO is just so harsh. I hope Daya shoots him !

Looooooved this season!!! LOVED the past two season!!! I think seasons 3&4 have been, without a doubt, the best seasons of the show. The characters and their backstory are all so good and you feel like you KNOW them.
My heart was broken when "P" was killed. I loved her, there was such a kindness to her. I have to say, I was VERY surprised by Caputo. I was so disappointed that he didn't mention her name or that she was an innocent victim in that news conference. It just seemed with everything going on he was going to defend her and do the right thing. I can't believe he didn't. As for not reviving her, by the time they got to her it was clear she was already gone. 
There was so much good in this season, so many great plot lines. I'm really going to miss Lolly, I hope they bring her back, she's awesome. She's nuts but entertaining. Cannot wait for season 5!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished.. wow.
Can i tell you, i was watching the scene with Poussey in episode 12 on Friday morning, after seeing all the devastation that went on in Dallas the night before and the 2 shootings days before that and this episode hit me really hard. i was sobbing on the train!
I absolutely LOVED this season. Way better than last season and so glad they didn't focus on piper too much. She's just not very interesting and really an annoying person.
I was sad and disappointed at Caputo's speech at the press conference, and was hoping he was at least going to grow some ballz and go off script and tell the world the truth about what happened. But, no.. he stuck to a sanitized version and didn't even mention her! I've been waiting all season for him to finally get it and expose MCC for what they are, but i guess his relationship with that woman is clouding his judgment. Maybe next season we'll see that she gets a taste of what she deserves since she's stuck in the bathroom during this final moment!
Poor Healy - looks like he finally snapped too.
I can't wait to see how they resolve this. I hope Daiya doesn't shoot the guard, i hope no one else gets shot and i hope things get resolved without more sadness!!

This was a great season, I am so upset about the death. I LOVED how they made it the guard that you actually like and not the one crazy one. It just added a spin.

finally got around to finishing this season...wow...so sad for pousey -- for daya's sake, i hope she doesn't shoot him, but he was one of the ahole COs, so maybe she will...i have a feeling the good girl CO is going to get hurt, though.
caputo should have put it all out there...at least he called her dad first. still trying to figure out what got her locked up. :/
great season - happy to see bursett out, too

She was locked up because she was busted for a very small amount of pot.

Anybody noticed how they messed up with Caputo's gf bathroom scene?? They first shot her with her panties down to her ankles and then on the next scene she's sitting on the toilette, wearing her skirt normally as if she's just sitting on the toilet, not actually using it

Great season. SO much better than last season. It seemed to have more serious story lines than in years past. I'm so glad Piper got put in check. I was surprised how little Bursett and Ruby Rose's character were in the show this season. I did think it was hilarious how the black girls were trying to get pics of Judy King and then how that whole situation went down. I was so sad about Poussey. That was awful.
I think the girlfriend is going to end the siege. She has a gun on her. I bet she shoots and kills Daya. As for that CO, I don't see any of those women having the capacity to actually kill him..except maybe Red, the Dominican with the unibrow and the old woman with the garden. The rest of them don't seem to have that level of violent in them.

Ok so the writing is so brilliant, and basically addressed everything that's going on in the US right now: race, anti-LE, mental illness, overcrowded prisons, foster care...
omg just so sad, and I hate how Caputo's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't 
Someone help me out: What happened to Bennett? Did they every say/show?

They said he just left, no explanation, while Daya was pregnant... I know he has been in "How to Get Away with Murder" the past few seasons so I guess that is why he left the show.

Pretty much every woman in that prison is more interesting than Piper.
Was that really supposed to be Poussey's afterlife? I wouldn't have gotten that without this thread.

Finally finished it.
That wasn't her after life...because when the people from MCC were looking for dirt on her before reporting her death,.they pulled up a pic from that night from one of her social media accounts. So those were definitely flashback scenes, not her afterlife.
I'm obviously in the minority but I was really bored by this season and found it torturous to get through. I felt like I waited 11 long boring episodes to have 1 thing happen.
That's why it took me all summer to watch.
I think I'm finally done with this show.

That was the night she got busted. She had the pot in her bag to sell. She was at the water and you know that's her last few minutes of freedom!
