Friday fun, anyone want to play? What lyrics have YOU misheard?
So, I was driving to work this morning listening to 80's on 8 (don't judge me!  )
Anyway, Huey Lewis and the News came on - Heart of Rock and Roll. And I was laughing, thinking back to when that song first came out. I was singing it in the car with my older sister and she was like, "wait, stop. What are you singing???"
I really truly thought he was singing, "The heart of rock and roll, the heart of rock and roll is Tibetan..."
Looking back now, I still laugh every time I hear that song. Now it's sort of a hobby for me, but I was (obviously lol) TERRIBLE at figuring out song lyrics when I was younger.
I'm sure I have others, but would love to hear yours. Anyone have any? I've looked on those misheard lyrics websites, but some of them seem so contrived. So I figured I'd ask you all to bare your souls lol... Truly misheard lyrics are so funny!

I am terrible and still am. When DH and I were dating so in my twenties I still thought the lyrics to Billy Joel's "The Angry Young Man" was the aquim man. It's not even a word or makes sense. DH is like... What is an aqium man. I told him I didn't know, but Billy Joel knew and was explaining it to us in his song. 
My sister also used to tell me to sing only when I knew the words bc she didn't like when I sang it wrong in the car years ago.

As a kid I thought Billy joel's innocent man was really medicine man. Every time I hear it, it brings me back to everything about my pediatrician's office from the smell to the taste of the lollipops we got after a check up. It's so weird!

More recently... The Paramore song "Still into you"... It took me forever to realize that the lyrics "I should be over all the butterflies" wasn't "I should be over on the next flight".. lol

Is it really?!?
I could have sworn I read somewhere that it was star crossed lovers but maybe that was just another misheard lyric.
It definitely does not sound like that lyric.

I am going totally blank on the name of the song but, it has the word kaleidoscope or something a long those lines, but I always thought it was "colitis" .

The song Red, Red, Wine by UB40. They sing stay, close to me. And I always thought it was steak, lobster, meat. DH said why would they say that? I said I thought they were telling you what to drink with red wine.
The song, "There's a bad moon on the rise". This is pretty common I think but I always sang there's a bathroom on the right.
I have so many more, I have to think to about it. I am the worst, always messing lyrics up. DH is always laughing at me.
