Omg my,hear,breaks for you. Sending you all lots of prayers. I am in the exact same boat. Please hug your babies UPDATE page 9
She started moving her arms and legs and opening her poor swollen eyes last night. I was so excited but a bit concerned because it seemed twitchy. Sure enough at this morning's rounds, they said they are going to order an eeg of her brain and had to give her some Ativan because of her "episode". So we'll see.
She's also on a diuretic because she's retaining a lot of fluid in her face and didn't pee for awhile. She also hasn't pooped since the night she was admitted so they're trying to help her with that.

Her eyes have been open so much. But her pupils aren't reacting as quickly to the light as they'd like so one of the things they will be checking for during the eeg will be seizure activity.

Still thinking of you and praying for your little girl. I hope the EEG comes back clear and that the slow eye movements are just because she's exhausted from all she's been through the last few days.

Definite seizures. She's on phenobarbital right now and it seems as if it's helping. I'm sad and angry. I'm sad that her eyes were opened because she was having seizures (every time she opened them, one always followed) and I'm angry that this poor defenseless little baby has to go through so much in her short life, more than some people have to go through in their whole lives. It's not fair.
