More Shake Shacks
A major shake-up is in store for 2093 Smithaven Plaza, the current home of John Harvard’s Brewery & Ale House in Lake Grove.
John Harvard’s will close soon and a Shake Shack and Chiptole will take its place. Long Island Business News first reported the news on Tuesday.
Shake Shack currently has Long Island restaurants in Garden City and New Hyde Park.

I had read this. We were at John Harvards for a pumpkin ale this weekend and they said they are closing in February.

I've never been to a shake shack but in general I think LI has too many fast food joints.

I love Shake Shack! Happy to hear there are a few more coming! (I think they are opening one on Rt 110 in Melville, also)

I actually agree. I really wasn't that impressed with them. I'm sad to see JH go..........DH and I have been going there since back in our college days!

Orig one is in Madison sq park in Manhattan. They are expanded all over the place, even Dubai. It's burgers and shakes. Danny Meyer place of union square cafe, gramercy tavern, eleven Madison...

It is a good fast food burger. Way better than the chains. But I have to say it used to be better and they only had a few locations. Now you can get it all over the country

I personally never liked John Harvards. I thought it was dirty and the food wasn't too good. While I will enjoy Shake Shack, I would have loved a real restaurant, not a chain one, to go in there. That area is filled with mediocre restaurants.

Ragazzis is in the area and it's actually excellent. And I do love Cheesecake Factory now and then.
Miller's Ale House sucksss though!
