Santa Land in NH

Do you plan on going in the winter or summer? There is really so much to do up there no matter what the season. My brother has a vacation place up there and we've been there both winter and summer. Just a beautiful area with lots to do. Let me know and I'll give you some suggestions.

Re: Santa Land in NH

My family and I loved our trip here.

This was my review from the Travel board (I don't think any of my links were working)

"Hello, I normally don't post (mostly read), but I just got back from a family road trip to Glen, New Hampshire and would like to share our experience.

I'm surprised that there isn't more written about Santa's Village and Story Land on the travel board (I did a quick search before our trip and didn't find info about it).

The drive to this part of New Hampshire's about 6.5 hrs, so it isn't close, but it is a wonderful area for a family vacation. It's extremely family friendly. Numerous restaurants had play areas for kids to alleviate the pain of waiting for a table (and Mom and Dad were able to bring a drink inside, too!). Other restaurants were geared towards families, like Glen Junction

During the time that we went, there was a special event with a scenic railway, "Day out with Thomas"

Ice cream shoppes had playgrounds for the kids, too.

We mixed a bit of nature, too. The area's beautiful. We visited covered bridges, natural pools with waterfalls and went to the highest peak in the Northeast - Mt. Washington. You can drive up or take the Cog Railway

There's also a miniature train museum that's the love child of a Swiss couple. We had fun talking to them.

We spent a week there with our 4.5 year old and 2.5 year old. They had a great time. My DD asked if she could have her next birthday party at Santa's Village - that's how much she loved it. Both amusement parks have the same deal as Dutch Wonderland - you can preview it for 3 hrs before you spend a full day there.

I highly recommend this destination for families of all ages. We found it to be a great mix of man-made fun and nature."
