Which do you like better?
I know I'm a little early with names, but we've narrowed it down to two that we like a lot, so looking for opinions on order.
Noah Jake
or
Jake Noah
J is in memory of my mother who passed away in 2014. My original plan was to use Jake as the first name, but DH feels Noah is slightly less common, and also has a softer feel, which would sound better with our last name (it's German and starts with a hard G sound).
Side note, DD is Sophie Emma.
I'm terrible with decisions, so always like to get thoughts from others.

I love Noah! I do believe it was one of the most popular names in 2014 though so it's becoming much more common. Still one of my favorite names regardless!

I think Noah is more popular than Jake. Jacob is pretty popular though.
I like both, I think I like Noah slightly more.

Noah is a top boys name, not Jake.
That being said, name your baby whatever you like best! Both of my kids have names on the most common names list, but I don't care. I love their names and that's all that matters.

Yeah, I was going to say this too. Noah's definitely in the top 10 right now. I still really like it, though! Both sound really nice.

Personally, I like the name Noah more than Jake. HOWEVER, I would never use it, being that it's right now #1 in popularity. I mean, it's not just within the Top 10 names on the Social Security list for 2014, but #1. So, for me, I wouldn't want to deal with the absolute popularity of it (risking him just being one of many Noah's in his classes growing up, etc). But it IS a truly beautiful name, so if that doesn't bother you, then definitely disregard my personal opinions on it. lol.
Jake on the other hand is a more well known name, I think, so that's probably why it SEEMS popular, but it's really only #190 on the SS list of popular names. (I had to look that one up, I wasn't sure. lol). So if it were me, I'd go with Jake Noah, rather than Noah Jake. But honestly, both sound awesome.
