LIRR to Brooklyn

Soooo.... I was called for Jury Duty in Brooklyn (Cadman Plaza) and am trying to decide if I leave extra early to beat traffic and drive there, or if I should just take the LIRR...

Anyone commute to the area? Do you know if parking is SO terrible that I should not drive??? I do not take the LIRR often and can barely even read the schedule so i'm a bit nervous that i'm going to end up in the wrong place.....

Look at the schedule online. It's much easier to read. I'd take the LIRR and then the subway for sure. There's parking, but mostly in lots.

I would definitely take the train. It's pretty easy and traffic can be so unpredictable. Like PP said, look at the schedule on line

I take the train everyday, I get off before the last stop but the last stop is at Atlantic terminal, brooklyn.

Not sure if that is where you would go but depending on the time and where you are coming from is not a bad trip

I did this everyday for years. LIRR to Atlantic Terminal and then the 2 or 3 train to Borough Hall ( it's a short trip). Check on the LIRR schedule for trains that require no changing at Jamaica ( most to Brooklyn do). I would discourage driving- it's expensive and there is a LOT of traffic in that area.

Do NOT drive. I did this commute for 2 years. My first year I drove because I started at 6am. I would leave at 5am ( 27 miles, door to door ) and yes, it would take the entire hour at 5am.
Take tbe train!!!
