scooter for 6 year old??
We want to buy my soon to be 6 year old a new scooter. We don't like the razor scooters. We like the scooters with two wheels in the front and one in the back. Any recommendations on brands?? My son is also the size of an 8/9 year old so that is something we have to take into consideration. Thank you.

My 7 yo has a razor, he has both a motorized one and a regular non motor one.
Personally at 6yo I think the 3 wheel scooter wont get as much use, it will be seen to his friends as baby-ish and he probably wont want to use it. My 4yo has a 3 wheel scooter but if my older son has friends over or if his cousins are here, he wont want to use that one, he wants the big kid scooter with 2 wheels.

same. Ds just turned 8 but has has a regular razor scooter since he was 5 and a three wheeled one at age three. Dd who is five still uses a three wheeled one, but I can't see her wanting it much longer. I would wait until 11 for a motorized one though. I would not get a 6year old a here wheeled one, I would get a helmet.

YES! Glider XL has 3 wheels, sold at TRU. It is awesome!!! Weight goes up to 88 lbs, adjustable handlebars, back brake.

My son is older, but has a Fliker, and loves it! No balancing required, and holds a high amount of weight, and has a brake. Check it out. There are various models depending on age/weight

The Maxi by Micro Kickboard! It's a great scooter! My son started with the Mini version at age 3 (and my 23 month old started riding it by himself just this weekend) but has now moved up (he's almost 6) to the Maxi which is made for ages 5-12. It's a really well made product. The Mini has been used relentlessly for almost 3 years and is still in perfect condition. We live in FL now and here the scooter is used throughout the entire year since the weather is good year-round so there's a lot of wear. It's available on Amazon.

Id either get the Fliker, Razor Powerwing or a regular scooter. MY DS has been using the Razor since about 5 and at almost 4, my daughter has almost outgrown the use/fun of the 3 wheeled. I think youll get more life out of the ones the other ladies suggested.
