Furniture

We are looking for a white bed, dresser, and desk for DD. Any thoughts on Behr or Ikea? PottyBarn is out of our price range. We want something that will last. Thanks!

Have you thought about buying regular adult or teen white furniture from a regular furniture store and then buying a crib.

I have munire brand furniture that i love.

I went to behr had a terrible experience found them ridiculously overpriced and rude.
Ikea- if you dont want it to last then thats fine but if you want something to last i would spend a lil more upfront.

Try looking up childrens furniture stores there must be more options than just behr.

Re: Furniture

My ikea furniture has held up better than my munire furniture (no scratches or chips). They are rated very highly & I have had no problems with them (I've had them for 4 years now). They also cost much less than any other brand.

I have a crib from both munire & Ikea.

I have a white dresser & nightstand from my own furniture (before marriage) that matches the cribs.

We got both my kids furniture at behrs. I ended up buying a nightstand too so that when they get older they have the whole set. My son is already in the full size bed which is what the crib converted too. My daughter was just born last week and her furniture just came the other day. I had no issues the first time around but this time they told me 6 weeks and it ended up being 9 weeks so I was a little upset about that. But I have to say the quality is great! My parents actually still have my furniture which was from behrs so it's 29 years old and still looks great!

Ditto ...went to Behr's haggled in price ....got same idea for both my kids. DS has Pali in reddish /brown color and DD has Muire in white. Very pleased with both!

I love Behr's. I got DS1's furniture there and it's so well made. I got a hand-me-down crib for DS2 (from Behr's) in an odd color - I searched everywhere for a matching dresser, but no one really makes them in the color. I was hesitant to go back to Behr's because it is expensive, but after exhausting all other options, I did. They didn't have anything in the same color that was new except for really high-end designers, but they did have 2 dressers in the clearance section. One was ordered and then the order was cancelled. I got a dresser that was originally $1200 for $500 and was able to take it home that day. It matches perfectly and there isn't a thing wrong with it! Their clearance section is definitely worth looking at!
