Mama's that have twins..

Im expecting twins ( also have 7 y/o dd, 4 y/o ds, and 3 y/o ds) I no longer have any baby items b/c I thought I was done after my last until last year when I knew I wanted more so I was wondering what do I really need 2 of, I know carseats but what else.. I don't want to go crazy and buy 2 of everything especially when I'm sure there isn't a need for it. Please help. and any other advice on having twins will be greatly appreciated! TIA

First congrats!!

I needed two rock n plays 2 boppys 2 high chairs

Not necessarily 2 but loved having an exasaucer and a jumper so one could go in each

Best advice. Take 10 bucks a week and store it. When you get to 100 buy a target/stop n shop/amazon whatever gift card

When babies are here it makes it easy to get diapers/wipes bc with twins you will go
Through a ton a day!!

Congrats! My twins are 3 months old. We use 2 rock & plays, 2 boppys, 2 swings. We started out with just the swing we had from our older kids but but both girls love it so much we went out and got another last month. We also have 2 bouncy seats but again, like the swing that is something some people will only need one of. We are not at the solid food stage yet but we do have two high chairs. We have the double snap n go now and will get a double stroller eventually, but I think we will get 2 umbrella strollers. There are bound to be times where DH or I have only one twin with us, or if we are somewhere like an aquarium or zoo, if we want to split up we can.

Congratulations!!!! Twins are such a blessing. My little guys will be 2 at the end of the month. You will definitely need two:

Cribs
Rock and Plays or Bassinets
Swings
Bouncy seats or Stationary chairs
Activity Centers - Exersaucers or Jumperoos
Highchairs

I wouldn't necessarily get two of the same exact item though, especially the swings and activity centers... you'll want to give them variety.

ETA: I used the double snap and go stroller when they were in their infant car seats. Once they outgrew them, I moved them to a City Mini double and they're still in yhay now.

2 highchairs/booster seats
2 pack n plays (we used these a lot)


1 swing/exersaucer/jumperoo was enough because we rotated them.

breast friend double if you will tandem nurse
we started with a swing and bouncy - ended up with another swing
we got 2 high chairs but waited till they were 6 months
1 exersaucer
1 jumper
2 sleep and plays - used that as travel bed for a few months

there is lots of great used stuff join local mom Facebook groups- lots of people selling stuff

two different seats for the kids... we had a bouncer and a rocker chair and a swing and rotated them through those. As well as two boppies which was really nice for night feedings.

Like some others mentioned, I have 1 each of jumparoo thingie and an excersaucer. I found it helpful to have a Joovy double like the snap and go, and instead of a single, I have the twins size double pack n play.

I'm not sure if they make this anymore, but in have these battery powered motorized metal frames for swings... You just snap the car seats into them and they're swings, fold flat when you're not using them. My daughters napped in there forever!
