Jsut need to write it out.
On Sunday, DH and I attended a birthday party for our 3 year old honorary nephew. The parents had a petting zoo come to the house, and we had fun with all the kids, DH was the "get the kids up on the pony" guy and I was the "feed the animals from my hand" girl. It was nice. DH and I also kept an eye on the 7 week old baby so that the parents could focus on the party and guests.
On Monday, we went out for breakfast and were talking about the party, that some kids were great, some were brats, he learned the term "helicopter parents" and was so amused by that term.
Then he threw me for a loop and apologized for never giving me babies. My eyes welled up as I reminded him that he was the one that never wanted to have children even though I did, and I honored his wishes all these years.
I thought I buried all these feeling deep inside of me, but I find myself hurting and grieving for something I can't have all over again.
I'm mad at DH for what he said, and for hurting me all over again, because it is too late.

I'm so sorry. That's really got to hurt. I hope you can get back to a place where you again find peace with decisions that were made a long time ago and find joy in the children that are in your life.
