Mother's Helper-
I have my best friends 12 year old son helping me with my 5 year old.. My 5 year old loves him! How much do I pay him?

One more question.... He is coming over Friday night to help watch my son while I go out (my one time a year!!!).... He will be here with my Mom and brother. Originally it was suppose to be just him helping my Mom watch my son.... He will be spending the night (which he loves)... Since he really won't be sitting him that night, how much should I pay him? I had asked him before I found out that my brother would be staying home... He will basically be playing with him. But I feel that I need to give him something..

It's been a few years since I"ve had a mother's helper, but we pay our babysitters $10/hour. When a mother's helper came, I was always home getting other stuff done and we paid less, typically they had less experience. Usually it was $5-8/hour.
