MISO IS HOME!!!!! LOST - MY CAT IS LOST - HELP ME - PORT JEFFERSON STATION
Update: 3 weeks to the day Miso is home! Thanks to all the share and those following his page... the little (he has lost a lot of weight) ******* is home!
Update: Day 18 and Miso is still lost..BUT...he was finally ON MY PORCH last night. Little SOB wouldn't get in the trap but I am hopeful tonight he will. I have a professional trying to trap him so it is only a matter of time. Here is a picture of him last night starting at me.
Update: Day 13 and Miso is still lost. I am so sad without him.

I am going to have a heartattack. My cat is lost. Please, if anyone has seen him, please call me immediately at 631+764+9368. He is a big goof but is a bit timid at first. VERY FOOD MOTIVATED. He is big. Has half a tail. His name is MISO and I am very worried. He is NOT an outdoor cat. He hates outside. Lost on Woodhull Avenue, Port Jefferson Station. He is chipped. Please share. Chat Icon

Is he definitely out of the house? Last year I thought I lost one of my cats and turned out she somehow got into our basement without us knowing and she was there overnight.
Any chance he/she is just in a really good hiding spot?
First thing tomor call all the local shelters. Email all your neighbors or call tonight.

We have searched every inch of the house. And then we searched again. He is a crier. He he was trapped somewhere we would hear him. But we checked everywhere. I opened a can of tuna in every room of the house. I dont know how he got out....or when :(
I'm a half a bottle of wine in and bawling thinking about him outside, alone and scared

There's still a chance he's in your house, espec since you have no idea how or when he got out. If he's scared he won't run for food and may not even cry. My cat that I thought was lost is also a crier. Didn't even make a peep the first time I went into the basement. Went again later and noticed a cat poop and I searched the basement. She was behind the tv and only cried after I saw her. Really hoping he's in your house.
If not, cats know how to come back home. And it's great he's chipped. Keep us posted.

oh noo!
post on the following Facebook pages
Missing angels and long and found pets of long island
send them a picture and any relative info.
a lot of people make Facebook pages specifically for their lost pet.
put up signs throughout the neighborhood
call the local shelters and vet offices when they are open and call the local PD to notify them
good luck and keep us posted

Praying for your cat's safe return! My cat was lost for 4 nights outside a few years ago and he is definitely not an outside cat. Don't give up hope, fingers crossed for you!!!

Call all your local shelters and pet rescues. This is how I found my bird after he flew out my back door.
I would also print up a bunch of flyers and put them in all of your neighbors mailboxes within a several block radius. I actually went up and down the blocks knocking on doors and talking to all my neighbors- I was fairly new to the neighborhood and really did not know anyone. Many people gave me helpful tips.

Sorry to hear this. Saying a prayer. If you haven't already, you should put up signs on poles and supermarkets. I think they definitely help. Good luck.
