DH and I were Chat Icon the entire series. The first episode had me hooked, and the last scene in the finale gave me chills. I'm intrigued to see what comes of the case now that it has been reopened.

Wow wow wow.....i cannot believe this man walked free all of these years. What a great documentary, i am too young to have heard of him before but I'm def going to follow this now....and wahhhhh I've been rich all my life! Cry me a river dude.....

The family definitely helped cover up the murder of Kathie.

Re: HBO's The Jinx (Robert Durst documentary)

We just watched all 6 in two nights. Holy Crap! He is a psycho. I think he is on the spectrum and I also think he is responding to internal voices. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than one person in his head. So strange.

However, I think he will walk. I don't know that the handwriting is enough to convict a man. Especially, if they go for the death penalty. They say the recordings can be admitted because he knew he was being recorded. But, if they admit that need to admit it all.. all of the times he denied it vs. one time in the bathroom talking to himself.

His lawyers said the arrest was illegal and they have proof. They walked out smiling. I think they have a technicality.

As far as the doorman.. I am still confused. Did the durst family put it out there that the doorman saw her and the police just never asked the doorman?! Or did the doorman lie and then retract his statement.

I also feel like he was planning on killing his brother.

I did some more reading and the alias thing is strange. He had so many aliases even during times he didn't need them. Like he was very paranoid and never wanted anyone to know where he was.

The wife is beyond strange. They only lived together for like a month or something!!

And do they really think he was headed to cuba? I read that they found a map in his room upon arrest and it happened that they arrested him on the very day that there was one of the first flights to cuba. And he had a box of cash and clothes shipped to somewhere that was intercepted. Where was he going.

I also heard the timeline was misconstrued for the show. That they sat on the handwriting evidence for over a year!!!! Did the LAPD work with the producers to arrest him at the right time for the sake of the documentary and drama. Maybe they told the LAPD they had evidence but, would only release it if the LAPD arrested him according to the produces timeline. The whole thing is so so strange.

All in all.. I am hooked on the story and can't wait to see it play out in the courtroom.

I totally feel he's a schizo. There is definitely more than one person inside his head.

And as for the doorman, they were very unclear about it. At first they said he saw her that night, then they said he might have been mistaken or couldn't remember or something. So bizarre.

I just wonder what the hell he did with Kathie and how many people did he really kill in his life? Now he's being linked to two Co-ed's disappearances.

I wish he would just crack and tell everything.

Re: HBO's The Jinx (Robert Durst documentary)

The following episode, maybe 3?, they intimated that the press was being fed information from a "family source" and they believed that source to be Susan. That Susan knew his secrets. And that is eventually why he either killed her or had her killed.

The closing scene, it sounded like there were 3 voices. The person he was telling the story to, his response and then another person. Definitely multiple personality-like. And his tics got worse as the years went on and then as the story went on.

I still don't see anything sticking on him. I think his money talks louder than the evidence does. Sadly.

HBO's The Jinx (Robert Durst documentary)

Did anyone see SNL? They had a skit and one of the girls played Robert Durst. She was DEAD ON (no pun intended).

Between the burping when he saw the handwriting comparisons and "That's it, I got caught" or whatever he said, I wanted to vomit.

I was literally screaming at the TV.

Yup, so sad and true, if the average joe were on trial for any of the things, i believe he's done they would be in jail.

His lawyer is NO JOKE!

HBO's The Jinx (Robert Durst documentary)

Did anyone read this article? Really telling, imo, as to why nothing sticks. His current wife, lives with one of his lawyers!, and I believe will stay married to him until he dies. Either to save her life or to inherit all his $$. Or both. Definitely an arrangement as opposed to love.
