Help!! Which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
do I get my DS?
He is 4 years old and with a little more than 2 weeks left before Christmas he is now talking about something he wants Santa to bring him.
I have no idea which ones to get him. He wants the figures but there are so many, in so many different sizes.
Which are the best ones to get?
Amazon has them but of course some are more $$ than the others and they all look to be the same figure - just a different turtle.

There is one for each of the turtles. If you go this route do not order from Amazon. I got them for about $12 each, and now they are $28. I have seen them in Target and Walmart recently.

Help!! Which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
DS has a couple of sets in different sizes. I like the smaller ones - the halfshell heroes personally (and those seem to get played with more than the larger ones).

Get the Nickelodeon ones. THe movie ones IMO are a bit more scarey.
I would start with the 4 turtles - leo, Mikey, Raphie and Donnie. Splinter is their teacher. And then you could get some of the bad guys. I buy all DS at Target. I will look now and try to link the ones I have.
We also have the "turtle bus" aka shellraiser and DS is getting the "turtle House" (lair) for Christmas
The Nick cartoon turtles look like this

Amazon is definitely over priced. I agree I prefer the Nickeloden versions versus the movie ones. I think DS would as well.
The Target by me was completely wiped out of TMNT stuff the other day. I am going to call them and see if they are restocking...hoping I can get them at the buy one get one 50% off sale they are having right now.

I agree with getting the Nick ones. I bought the movie ones for his birthday not knowing there was a difference. I don't like them at all. I wish I had gotten the Nick ones. But since he has enough already, I can't justify buying the friendlier looking ones.

AJ loves both the Nick & Movie versions. I'm surprised she sees no diff honestly. She likes that both the show and the movie have the same attitudes I think.
I don't think the movie ones are scary at all. Just plain UGLY! 
She thinks they are more 'real' looking (yes I got into a discussion about them both and all things TMNT).
I need to find a place selling TMNT Jammies!
I would buy my kiddo the Nick versions but if not, the movie versions are fine too. That said, she's SEEN the movie so I think that makes a difference. Otherwise they are just UGLY versions of their cartoon favorites.
