We cut down a huge 10-12 foot tree
No theme all different kids of ornaments

I prefer white but the last few years it has been colored since that is what we had. I am thinking this year I am going to replace all lights to white and replacing our fake tree with a real one!

Multicolored.
DH's family doesn't celebrate Christmas, so the first time he had a Christmas tree was only four years ago - when we got married.
He loves colored lights on it.
I don't have a preference, really. We had years of white lights and years of colored lights on the tree when I was growing up.
I had a tree in my apartment when I lived on my own, and I had pink and purple lights on it each year...which are now strung through my basement :)
So, since it means more to him than to me...multicolored lights on the tree. :)
Oh, and always always always...a real tree. He won't go for plastic!

Multi-color on both family room and dining room. The family room is traditional red & green colored ornaments with family & kids ornaments mixed in. The dining room is primarily mouth blown European ornaments.
I wish they'd sell the multi-color lights with reflectors like these:
Clear Star Reflectors
Petal Reflectors
I'd be all over that!

Multicolored. DH and I both grew up with that on our trees. I like the idea of red, white, and green lights!
As far as ornaments go, I came into our marriage with four huge plastic bins of ornaments from working at Hallmark for years (awesome discount + always making ornament sales goals and the incentive being a free ornament for employees = a ton of ornaments!). So it's a variety of ornaments.

Multi on tree, white everywhere else (mantle , mini trees, swags over windows, wreaths in windows, etc).

We need new lights this year and I can't decide on white or multicolor! I always had white but I feel like the kids might like the multi better. I do want them to twinkle though, I love that for sure.
