There's different packages you can pay up front. I think mine was $30.00 or so for 6 months.

We had $30/ 6 months and they said it was a one time courtesy-time to call back tomorrow and see if I can get something better again..it's not that exciting to me so if it's not inexpensive, it's gone

I tend to listen to a lot of the same stations (and I'm a music person, not talk radio).
I have noticed like regular radio it's often the same songs on rotate.

We paid $500 (for lifetime) when he went to Sirius in 2006. Well worth it and has paid for itself many times over.

I don't believe they offer the lifetime subscription any longer.
We usually play $25 for 6 months (but, we cancel when our subscription is up to get this rate).

You need to call every few months to cancel. I just paid $20 for 5 months for the full package.

$25 for 6 months, no auto renewal, I get a paper bill.
Negotiate the heck out of them. Make sure to cancel service the day before it expires.

My husband does the same - calls says he wants to cancel for cost and they give that $30.00 for 6 months. Honestly I dont use it that much so if I cant get that price I really dont need it.

Well apparently I am grossly overpaying! I pay over $100 a year (without Howard). And I even let my subscription cancel last year and negotiated 3 days after the cancellation!
