Shower gift emergency!
Help! I dropped the ball on getting a gift for a shower this weekend and the entire registry has been fulfilled. I need a great OFF the registry gift idea stat! Anything that you loved?!

Outdoor dining stuff. You may be able to score a good deal if there's anything left. I got a beautiful divided platter, another matching platter, appetizer plates, and a decorative vase with sea glass for inside. It was a cute gift that I wouldn't have registered for.
I would look at what she registered for and see if there's anything you can build on. If she did china is there a piece or two she didn't register for but might want. Or a decanter to go with wine glasses she got. Champagne flutes. As long as you get a gift receipt I wouldn't worry too much.
ETA- A great cookbook like the complete America's Test Kitchen one. It's pricey but amazing and you can add a few things like utensils, kitchen towels, measuring cups, etc.

Shower gift emergency!
I like to make baskets- I did a pot holder, dish towel, trivet basket for one friend. I did an etched glass cutting board, etched wine glasses, etched champagne flutes, and a personalized name sign for another friend (I craft a lot- if you don't do this regularly, it's probably not an option for you). Is there ANYTHING left on the registry? I feel like I get my most creative with baskets when scraps are left on a registry- I can take one thing and run with a theme!

This happened to me, except no one bought their wine glasses b/c they were insanely expensive (and I was a poor grad student so I only afford 1 wine glass). So I made them a wine and cheese basket with a couple bottles of wine, some nice "every day" wine glasses, a cheese board, etc. It was a big hit, even for my super picky aunt and her relatives!
Maybe see if there are things missing or things you like that she may not have registered for.

A friend put together an entertaining basket. Wine glasses, wine class charms (so people know which glass belongs to whom), coasters, wine pump and stoppers, cheese knives, pretty cutting board, pretty entertaining napkins, entertaining soaps, entertainment platter (for dips and chips). She put it in a large basket, added some entertaining appetizer recipes, 2 bottles of wine and wraped it all together. This way she would have everything needed to entertain. You can adjust what you put in to her particular tastes.

Christmas decorations. Start off there collection - maybe a nice lenox one that will have wedding date and some other glass balls for the tree.

Some non-registry items I received and/or have given:
- Monogrammed Bathrobes (Mr. xx Mrs. xx)
- A Monogrammed piece of fabric that had the brides new initials with the wedding date (to be sewn into her dress). the thread was blue for her something blue
- Tiffany's serving platter
- Gift Certificate for the Honeymoon Hotel to be used for spa services or toward a nice dinner
- A Ring Holder

Shower gift emergency!
A great success at a recent shower in NYC was a stylish tote bag filled with a beautiful and luxurious feeling, fake fur throw, a bottle of good champagne and two champagne glasses. It was called the Lux picnic! Everyone loved it.

One of go to gifts that is always well received are stemless wine glasses from Tiffany and a bottle of wine. They are relatively inexpensive ($25 per set of two) and almost everyone loves opening those blue boxes, lol :)
