Have you ever been to Costa Rica?

Anything you can tell me about your trip would be appreciated.
What airport did you fly into?
Where did you stay and what are some things you did?
What time of year did you go?
Any must see's or do's? Anything to avoid?
Would you go back?

I have been there twice, and loved it both times, but more the second time around than the first. We flew into San Jose the first time, and it was a little hectic, and then Liberia the 2nd time and it was much smoother. We stayed in Jaco the first time and it is a bit run down and seedy in parts, but we still enjoyed ourselves. The 2nd time, we stayed in an all inclusive in Guanacaste called the Paradisus and loved it!!!! We also took a trip to the Arenal volcano and bathed int eh hot springs which is a must do! I will definitely travel back when my children are older. It is an amazing country filled with wonderful people.

The flights and times work out better to fly into Liberia instead of San Jose. So I'm glad you liked where the Paradisius is located. I looked it up, I think it's a Westin now which looks so nice.
When you went to the Arenal volcano was that through a tour group or on your own? If it was a tour do you remember who it was with?
Any other info you could share would be a big help.
