Au Pair - Please recommend

Hello! I'm looking for recommendation on Au Pair agencies and any information you can share with me, incl cost.

I'm open to a live-in sitter or someone that is in and out. I have an 8mos and need help. My DH and I work in the city and our current sitter situation is not working.

TIA

My co-worker used Cultural Care.

I believe SMDL/Sophie uses them too & can probably help you with info.

We used Cultural Care. A little over $7k initial fee but then only $200 a week, so I think that it works out to about $355 a week plus room and board. We have had a very positive experience. FM me if you would like any additional info.

Havent posted here in a very long time but we use cultural care au pair. Very happy.

Having amazing experience with them. Like, in love with our au pair. Our next one comes at the beginning of october and she seems like she will be incredible too! Good luck.

Adding- PP mentioned cost and I agree. You will probably need someone who is infant certified.

Re: Au Pair - Please recommend

I have an au pair from Columbia arriving the end of August through cultural care. Right now I pay $1200 for daycare plus babysitters. Having an au pair is expensive. All the fees plus food, electric, gas, phone, car expenses etc. they add up

I'm in the process of searching for an Au Pair now. We're currently signed up for Au Pair in America and Cultural Care. The other big agency is Au Pair Care. I'd definitely give each of the agencies a call to see how large the cluster is for your area. We wound up not registering with Au Pair Care because their cluster was so small and we didn't think that the Au Pair would be able to make friends. So far we've been really happy with Au Pair in America and are close to matching with a girl to come over in December.

I know this an old post but wanted to update my au pair experience. It is the best decision I ever made. My son loves her but they only problem is she is leaving the end of August. I wish I would have done it sooner.

So happy it worked out for you!! I remember talking with you about it! We are on AP #3 with our 4th arriving in Feb. I can not imagine our lives without them. The first two have become a part of our family and we can't wait to visit them in their home countries. We still Skype regularly with them.

For anyone looking into it, we have used Cultural Care Au Pair.
