Disney 3.5 twins

We were given the opportunity to take the girls to disney when they are 3.5. We will be staying on the grounds in a time share. What are your thoughts on.... Well.. Everything? Stroller, dining, things to do in the park,?
Currently they are still napping and in cribs (they will be 3 in sept.)

Re: Disney 3.5 twins

we took DS in February when he was 3 years, 3 months. we stayed in Disney ft. wilderness in my parents big camper.
the biggest thing I would say is to take a long break in the middle of the day. that's when it gets most crowded. so like get to the park when it opens, stay until like 12, then go back for naps, swimming, etc until about 6:30/7.... then go back to the park until it closes.
the day we went to magic kingdom it got SO crowded in the afternoon. lines with over an hour wait, etc. so we left from like 3-6, then went back. it was like a totally different park!!! we were pretty much walking on to all of the rides that had had an hour wait that afternoon. SO much better!!
as far as a stroller- our city mini was AWESOME for Disney!!! easy to fold and unfold on the buses, etc. big sunshade, reclines nice for when he fell asleep while we were walking around. if you don't have one or don't want to take yours on the plane, you can rent one down there for really cheap.
we did Chef Mickeys for dinner and really liked it. good chance to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto. I also wish we had been able to get into the Disney Jr. one at Hollywood Studios (Jake,, Doc McStuffins, etc)
honestly- just don't try to see and do everything with kids that young. Go at their pace- on their first trip, they don't know what they're missing out on anyway LOL

Great age to take them.

Take it slow... don't do too many days at disney, focus on magic kingdom.

Otherwise, enjoy it! it should be a blast!

There are lots of ways to do it & places to stay. We don't like disney property places (so crappy for what you pay).

They may be totally different by then in terms of naps, etc. so don't plan too much to early.

Re: Disney 3.5 twins

We just went in May. DS1 was almost 3 and DS2 was 6 months. We rented a double City Mini when we got there from Orlando Strollers. It was perfect. Great place for both of them to rest and stay out of the sun and good storage room for all our stuff.

As pp said, show up at park opening and take a break in the middle of the day. We usually left the parks around 2-3pm and went back to the hotel to swim and have quiet time (DS refused to nap the whole week we were there!). We ended up just staying at the hotel for dinner and going to bed early, except for one night we went back to the parks. It will really depend on your kids if they can handle evenings or not.

We used Garden Grocer to have things like diapers, wipes, formula and snacks delivered to our room. It was so convenient. We got things we could bring to the park for snack and also breakfast items so we could eat in the room and get out faster in the morning.

Re: Disney 3.5 twins

Garden Grocer was awesome, we had drinks and snacks delivered to the hotel.

We rented a stroller from apple and it was great to get to leave it at the hotel.

We brought DS at 2.5 and it was a great trip. We did what other people say and went out early to parks and then went home in mid day, had lunch and swam. We then went back to parks at night.

Plan most of your time for magic kingdom, it really has the most for little ones.

My son loved Hollywood studios, use fast passes for the major rides like toy story mania or you will wait forever...

We always waited for the next bus at the parks, otherwise we would ride back miserable. Also good to know what hotels are closest so you can take their buses, if close enough... for exmaple Art of animation and Pop are close so you can take bus to either and walk over the bridge. We did this too eat at both food courts too, pop had more kid friendly stuff

Re: Disney 3.5 twins

also get a cooler that attached to your stroller, you will want cold water and juice at the drop of a hat. We never bought drinks in park for ds...we brought our own juice boxes an water bottles ordered from Garden Grocer.
