I've heard great things about Sanuks though. And Crocs. But, I'm not one for change

I also love Reefs and crocs as well! I've tried them both and they are great!
I also have to say that orthaheel (or vionic) is wonderful! They are stylish and sooo comfortable!

I cannot believe all the people who love Haviannas! I got my first pair before a trip to Disney and had to buy other shoes while I was there because they gave me such bad rugburn (for lack of a better word) on the soles of my feet.
They have a raised pattern on the entire flat part where your foot sits and it rubbed my feet with each step until they were raw. When I got back to the hotel that night and took a shower my feet felt like they were on fire.
I was later able to wear them around casually but I would NEVER recommend them for excessive walking. I guess I'm the only one to have this issue with them though!

No you aren't alone. I bought them in Miami after the cheap flip flops I brought down with me killed my feet. I was expecting great things after all the reviews on here. While they were OK and certainly better than the death traps I brought down with me, I found that they irritated the heck out of the space between my big and next toe where the divider thing was and also that the sole was a bit flimsy so I was tripping a lot. It was like it would bend forward as I was walking and trip me. It was nowhere near the comfort level of my Crocs.
The other one that people swear by, Reefs, I bought and returned. I got them home, tried them on and they were so tight and narrow my feet looked like they were being squished. I went up a size even and same thing.
SOOOO not for me.

I have havaianas they are great BUT I was in jcpenny and I saw Clarks. They were not the prettiest but I was desperate for a walking sandal for a trip.
They are fantastic I actually wear them all the time now. They are thong strap but whats great is that the straps around it are adjustable so they fit snug around the feet. Like I said wear them all the time now. They were hanging by the register in Massapequa.

I find the Croc flips to not be irritating there.
thats so funny i have the exact opposite experience my havianas dont bother me at all, i bought a pair of croc flips and within an hour the piece between my toes was bothering me and was red,
just goes to show we really are all different
eta i do have one gold pair that for some reason my feet slide around in, like the sole is slippery, very strange
