Poor Tara. To make it this far in the series and BAM.
I was only half paying attention to Pam's quest to find Eric. Why is she in Africa? How'd she end up going there? I don't miss Eric at all. Not even a little bit. LOL.
Alcide is so hot.
I hate Jason's vamp.
Sookie is SUCH an idiot. Walking home alone and then throwing her phone. It infuriates me that she thinks she's so invincible.
This season looks good!! I hope they do the show justice!! But if they go all George RR Martin on us and start killing off main characters - I will lose. my. shitt.
eta: did I mention that Alcide is so hot? Because he's smokin'. I can't wait for Magic Mike 2 because of him. LOL.

I don't think that's the end of Tara, we never actually saw her die right? And in an interview right before the show she said "you know on True Blood even if you die that doesn't mean you're actually dead" or something like that...so I have a feeling we'll see her again soon.
And yes Alcide 
I hope they end it with a great season too!

Other than that, I thought it was an ok episode. Love Sookie. Miss Eric.

I'm actually expecting them to kill off a lot of people considering it's the last season. 
We didn't see Tara die though so I don't think she really is either. She'll show up later, just at the right time to save somebody or something.

I like Tara much better as a vampire but if she died just like that that is totally LAME! We didn't see her die so I bet she'll be back.
They did a character switch, Jessica's BF is being played by a different actor, right?
I loved loved loved this show from the get go but yesterday seemed a little ho-hum. I also think this season is only going to be 10 episodes!

I agree with others about Tara. I dont think they would have spent all the time with her mom in last seasons finale -- ranting on and on that she wants to be able to "feed her" unless there was a reason. My initial thought was her mother had Hep V and wanted Tara to contact it so she would die and no longer be a vamp (she is very religious).... so I wouldnt be surprised if something else is also up her sleeve!

Yep…I like the old James better. But I read an article that said that Luke Grimes (the old actor) backed out because he didn't like the direction that James' character was going…who knows if it's true. He is also filming the 50 Shade of Grey movie so there might be scheduling conflicts.

I don't remember the election (Sam's the mayor?), or Sookie being with Alcide, or them changing the restaurant from Merlotte's to Bellefleur's... Then again, I have a 2 month old baby and my brain is mush from lack of sleep!

Very slow and boring episode.. even the coming attractions for the season were  . I just can't get into this show anymore... I'm so glad it's the last season. I do, however, enjoy looking at Alcide. I want Eric to come back as well. They're the only reasons I tune in anymore.

In the last scene from last season they fast forwarded to 6 months later and picked up this season at exactly that night. Unfortunately when they take a year off between seasons I think that creates a lot of confusion!

They did the flash forward at the very end of the season finale. The finale ended with the mixer at Bellefleur's and the Hep V vampires showing up.

Here's the thing, if Tara really did get killed by the attacking H-Vamp, then WHY would he leave Lettie Mae (her mom) alone? Wouldn't he have killed her too?
