Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
I'm curious, does anyone see a psychologist who does CBI and accepts insurance? It has been recommended for my son, but I'm not finding doctors who take insurance--we actually have good mental health insurance so I'd like to use it if possible.
We live in Nassau County. Thanks!

Maybe try Steven Baron in Massapequa? We originally went to him to have DS evaluated and I think he accepts most insurances, or will work with you.

Check out ABCT.ORG. This is the organization for CBT. They have a therapist directory on it.

CBT is a fairly common form of therapy. It just means that they teach them a lot of thinking and problem solving strategies. You can probably call the therapists in your insurance plan and ask if they utilize cbt.
