From bad to worse...
As most of you know, my husband passed away very suddenly on Easter. He had a massive hemorrhagic stroke. He had a stroke history but he was closely monitored and hadn't had a stroke or mini stroke in over a year...
Yesterday, my mom wasn't feeling right on and off all day and finally around 345pm, my brother noticed her speech was slurring a little. We called the ambulance and they took her to the hospital. The CT scan showed a TIA (mini stroke)... She didn't have most of the stroke symptoms so we weren't sure what was going on at home. It seemed more like a severe reaction to one of her meds. She was complaining of restless legs in both legs. Tingling in her right hand, and numbness on the left side of her face.. When a person has a stroke, it affects one side of the brain. The right side controls the left and the left controls the right. She was having issues on both sides of her body which is not normal with a stroke or TIA.. They are not sure how old the TIA is so sometime on Tuesday she will have a MRI and other tests...
My son was so upset because he never saw his Daddy again after the ambulance came the day he died. So we had him in the ER with us to show she was ok...
