For those that practice Catholicism ...
At what grade / age did your DC start CCD? Obviously this would apply if your child attends public school?
If they are going do they attend once a week? On a Sunday, during the week?

1st grade, at the church (in the Catholic School classrooms although the school closed a few years ago).
During the week- one hour on an afternoon, but never on school break weeks. The parish also offers Sunday classes.

She started this year in first grade. She's autistic so she's in a special needs religious Ed program. She goes on Saturday morning for 45 minutes.

here in charlotte, Mikayla started in 1st grade and she does it at the church from 10-11:15am on sundays. next sunday is her last session of the season until she starts up again in September

1st grade - all work done at home.
2nd grade - work done at home...once a month hour and a half class at church with parent
3rd/4th grade - 1/2 year, every week 1.5 hours.

2nd grade they go, 1st grade we teach I have been told
We start CCD next year. Can anyone tell me some specifics about what they want them to learn in first grade? I have a question.

My DD started going in K. She goes to a class in the school at the church on Saturday morning. She is making her 1st communion this year (2nd grade).
