Does anyone know a lot about windows or home improvement?
So, weird question.. maybe..
Can you change the color of an actual window frame? I don't mean the molding or sill... I mean the plastic/vinyl piece that borders the window.
Second question, if a window has little window boxes inside of it -I don't know the right term-that are the natural wood color is it just as simple as painting it?
I know it's a matter of preference but the wood color windows and brown vinyl around the windows are not my taste. Especially b/c it would not match anything if we make changes down the road.. We would go lighter/not dark(er)

Does anyone know a lot about windows or home improvement?
The wood one we have. I sanded it down and painted.
The other I don't think you can paint the vinyl without it being an upkeep nightmare.

Rustoleum has spray paint geared towards plastics and vinyls.

That's your best bet for the outside window trim. As others have said, the inside wood is just a matter of sanding and painting.

capping around the window can be changed...its not a part of the window, does take some work.
if the window opens, be careful painting it.
any painting of a vinyl window is hard, it can be done but it is not easy to keep the functionality.
