Is it rude? Honest opinions!

It would kinda bother me as I'm not a dog owner. What ticks me off is this old guy who walks his dog down my street and let his dog poop on my lawn, he blows his nose (without a tissue) all over the sidewalk and spits as he walks up and down the street. He is a menace!

DH and I both do it from time to time. I really don't see the big deal. It's garbage and all garbage cans are gross.

You are actually opening up someone else's property just to get rid of your dogs poop. Yes I get it's just garbage; but it's still someone's personal garbage.

JMO though

Yea, it is not a good thing to so. They are not public garbage cans. They are privately owned.

I guess it's because I've never put that much thought into my garbage cans, but this response I find hysterical for some reason.

Re: Is it rude? Honest opinions!

its rude and gross. I dont have a dog and do not want dog crap in my pails.

What happens if the bag breaks and now there is dog crap all over my pail or my driveway? Take it home and throw it your own pail...you can't be that far from home.

Honestly..I don't have a dog but I think if it was before pick up, it would be ok and most definitely better than not putting it in a trash at all, but I am not familiar with dog poo etiquette

Re: Is it rude? Honest opinions!

I just held a session of family court of opinion. 2-2 split. Men thought it was OK as long as garbage hasn't been picked up yet. Women said no way. None are dog owners.

I don't have a dog. But if I saw someone put their dog poop even in a bag tied up in my garbage can I wouldn't be pleased.

Same here!

Re: Is it rude? Honest opinions!

Honestly it would probably bother me. I mean, how far can you be that you can't just throw it away at home? It's part of being a dog owner. I don't need dog poop smelling up my trash cans and if for some reason the bag wasn't tied right I'd have a mess. No, I'm not a dog owner, maybe I'd feel differently if I were. But I wouldn't think of throwing out my baby's poop diapers in someone else's trash cans.

I agree with this totally and I consider myself pretty easygoing. I think that since I am not a dog owner
I may not really 'get it' though...

I do have dogs and I also agree with this. I would never do it and would not want someone else to do throw theirs out in my pail either.

Re: Is it rude? Honest opinions!

In my old town, the garbage men just pulled the large trash bags out of the trash can - they didn't upend the garbage can into the garbage truck, so all my dog's small poop bags stayed in the trash cans FOR MONTHS! They would break over time due to the garbage bags thrown on top. I had to have a separate, large bag to collect the smaller poop bags so I didn't have a gross mess in the bottom of my trash can. Because of this, I never leave my dogs poop bags in anyone else's trash....

How is that? Because people don't want someone else's dog shit smearing in or smelling up their garbage can?

I don't get this.

Is it self absorbed to think it's okay to throw your dog shitt into someone's else's can or is itself absorbed to not want someone to throw shit in your can? Lol

Again it's isn't a crime but it is just in poor taste IMO you aren't walking your dog 10 miles for hours at a time are you? No then carry an dispose of your own shitt at home
