Catering?

Hi all,
I am in the middle of planning my sons Christening and I was wondering if anyone has any decent priced places that come to your house and cater.
Its going to be about 75 people. I've been getting quotes that I think are pretty high (between 2800 and 3500). Im not looking for anything fancy either.
Is this the usual prices?
Anyone have any suggestions? I am in Suffolk.

Thanks!

Re: Catering?

We use O Sole Mio from Stony Brook to cater my daughter's baptism in 2011. Their food was delicious and we served hot and cold food (heroes, variety of pasta dishes that were hot & cold, balsamic chicken with summer roasted vegetables that was a big hit). We def paid under $700 for everything. We also did a shrimp platter with huge shrimp.

are you looking for waiters/ etc the whole shebang (sp?) otherwise we always have medford pastaria deliver about 1/2 hour into the party for 40-60 people. we set up trays and let people serve themselves.

C&C Catering is AWESOME!! Their food is SO good and they are VERY reasonably priced. Every time we've used them people raved about the food. They also offer waitress service too which is SO worth it, it was affordable and the girls were wonderful. They set up the food, packed it away, and cleaned throughout the party.

Here's their website

ETA - They are located on Broadway in N. Massapequa but they cater everywhere. I live in Stony Brook and they had no problem coming out this way.

For my DD's christening I got a TON of food and we had about 70 people, I believe we paid around $1200'ish plus another $100-200 for the waitresses.
