Suggestions for Party Favors

Having DS's 6th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese's. I invited boys and girls. Can anyone recommend a party favor? One that isn't junky" (is there such a thing)?

Also, how much do you spend on favors. Wondering if it would be better to go to my local toy store and pick out a toy for maybe $3.99 rather than putting 2-3 $1 items in a goody bag. How much do you spend on party favors?

If it matters I will be having 25 kids at the party.

Tia!

Re: Suggestions for Party Favors

I bought these ice cream dishes from Oriental Trading last year and used them as the party favor. I believe in buying something usable and not wasting my money on junk. I put them in party favor bags and filled them with cookies, candy from the dollar store. They were a hit. Here's the link.

The dollar store, Michael's, target, 5below are usually good for puzzles, beach pails, swim toys, coloring books, chalk. Add a pack of snacks and pack them up cute and your good.

Re: Suggestions for Party Favors

I go to MJBEANZ and get all of my favors there. I spend either 3.99-4.99. They wrap it too..

I hate giving out candy and all the junk! I rather give something they can use whether it is shrinks dinks, puzzles, etc...

I actually ordered my DH favors for may from them already. I am getting the yummy key chains which are all te rage right now.....

Re: Suggestions for Party Favors

I actually just posted on the other favor post if you want to take a look, but as a general rule, I like one useful item over a bunch of junky little things.

Now that the spring is coming you can also do Ralph's gift certficates(or any other local ice cream place to you). I did them for $3 and that i beleive covers a small cup. I asked for the cups and i put the gift certificate in with some hershey kisses and it was a big hit.

Try the store 5 Below. For my son's bday last year we got everyone a TMNT ball for $3 and wrapped it up in a goodie bag.

How did you do this? Did you just ask them for X number of $3 gift certificates?

Loving this idea!!

I actually called to make sure they had enough gift certificates in and they just had it ready for me. They were very nice about the cups and were so helpful.

I did this for my DD one year since she is a summer birthday except from Rita's. They gave me kid sized cups and I filled it with either red, blue or red tissue paper and put the cards in there. Then wrapped the whole thing in cellophane. Everyone seemed to like it. The only down fall was that it was $5 mim. per GC. Ralphs may be different.
