3 year dentist visit
My dd has been to the dentist twice now and she did awesome.. She now has her 3 year old visit coming up. Do they do anything different at that one.. In the past they just counted her teeth and brushed them pretty much.
Will she be getting x-rays of her teeth if so how do they do them, is it the same that they do for adults- ya know bite down on the hard plastic thing that always cuts ur gums lol??
Trying to get her ready for what will happen she likes to know what to expect lol

DS had his 3 year visit a few months ago. Nothing different, no xrays yet!

my sons dentist said they wont need xrays until the teeth get really tight together where food cannt pass thru.. then they would need the xrays to see any hidden cavities.

ok thanks guys!!
I could of sworn the nurse said they don't do x-rays till the kids are 3 but maybe I heard wrong that was almost a year ago lol

My DD is 3 and they did some xrays at her last visit. They couldn't do all of them because her mouth is too small

3 year dentist visit
DS just went (he's 3 3/4 y.o. to be exact). It was the exact same as the others (cleaning, counting teeth) except they did pick at his teeth / floss a little more and used the vaccuum to suction out the toothpaste etc.. He's never had x-rays.

My DD was just at the dentist last weekend, she's 5. She got a cleaning and a fluoride treatment. Still no X-rays, he said around 6 they will do that. At 3, it was just a cleaning.

DS had his 3 year visit in November.... it was just cleaning, counting teeth, and floride. I don't think they do Xrays until they're a little older...

they did xrays at my dds 3 yr old visit which is why I will not be returning to that dentist, I didn't know they don't need it yet until after the appt and this place apparently tries to do them every 6 months
