Yeah, if it were Tyleonl or Advil I wouldn't pick it up, but if it was something I need to take daily I would pick it up, kiss it to God (lol) then take it!

I don't think I would have even thought twice about it if I saw it because I would have just known that obviously whatever it was, was more important to him than germs. Hey, look at it this way...those extra germs just helped him build some new antibodies and immunity...he's that much more healthy than the rest of us now.

Maybe it was something he had to take every day and only had one on him.
I also agree with this. Maybe he just didn't have any choice and needed the medication.

5 second rule lol. Hey, I caught my DD chewing on the sole of her boot after running around McDonalds playground (second most dirty place after mass transit) and she lived. 
Oh man, reminds me of when I took DD to the lab at good sam. She dropped her toy on the floor and they made sure I put it away to wash when I got home. Then she spent the entire car ride home chewing on her sneaker. We were on the highway and I couldn't reach to take it away from her.
I don't think it's the end of the world that he took the pill. Not sure why he wouldn't at least wipe it off though.
I think she said he did wipe it off. On his jeans.

Chalk it up to he really needed it or he doesnt worry about that stuff. I saw a guy pick up his french fries off the floor of McDonalds the other day. The happy meal box fell and half of the large fries were hanging out on the floor. He didn't even bat an eyelash, he picked it up and shared them among his family. I but those people are probably smarter than I am, for not worrying about that stuff.

Look. I absolutely thought that as well. A pill he has to take.
And he had to weigh the option. I get that.
But this floor is about as disgusting as a floor gets. That's all that I'm saying. Must take or not, it's still gross.
Do you go food shopping and then rub your eye or take a piece of gum out to chew etc ever? Those carts or belt at checkout are dirtier than A public toilet, so im sure that floor is no better (this was just on dr oz lol)

It's gross but I'd do it if i HAD to.
When it comes to shopping carts, doorknobs, etc... I like to pretend if i can't SEE anything gross, then there isn't anything. Otherwise i'd be in a neurotic, germaphobic panic 24/7

I agree with both sides. I think if a pill falls I might do the same in general but a train kinda reminds me of a bathroom. Way too many people walking through. Just way too much fifth on the floor. Eh, it's gross no matter how ya slice it. It's done.

I am definitely not saying I dine off of LIRR floors on the regular, but if it was a pill I NEEDED to take, I am sure I would do the same.

I think it's gross to eat anything off the subway floor, but if he had to take it at that time then I guess he had no choice.... if it happened to me I'd try to hold off if possible to at least rinse it off if I couldn't just get rid of it & take a different pill.
