Flu shot & Pregnancy
I'm asking for a friend....
She's 4 months 16+ weeks. Extremely worried...
Did you get a flu shot? Would you?

Flu shot & Pregnancy
I got it this time and with my DS. I've been getting the flu shot for years and never had a reaction and never had the flu. It's all a personal preference though.

I am still very early in my pregnancy, but I do not plan to get the flu shot. I have many friends who have had it and they had no issues or side effects.

Normally I am indifferent about the flu shot, but I think it is important to get when you are pregnant - especially since this years flu seems to be strong.

I got it. My ob didnt leave me much choice. she said would like to chance losing baby. i said no. that was enough.

I have never gotten the flu shot before... until I was pregnant. My doc suggested I get it, as it will also pass to my child which is helpful since they can't get the shot for a while after birth.
I typically do not like putting things in my body if I don't have to but it made sense to me, and I got the preservative free shot.
Ultimately, it is up to you.

To me, the benefit of getting it outweighed the risks

I didn't get it with DS or tgis pregnancy. But it makes me nervous that I didn't. A friend had the flu around Christmas and was miserable.

I started getting the flu shot during my last pregnancy and once DD was born, starting getting it every year (as does she)..I did get the preservative free one this year...

I got it. My OB strongly recommended it. The immunity passes to the baby, who can't get it for 6 months. I got the preservative free one.

Im a teacher who usually gets it even when Im not pregnant. This year I DEFINITELY got it. I got the preservative free one- 100% safe and recommended while pregnant.

I don't typically get it, but did since my baby is due in flu season. The only immunity you can give to the baby against it, is getting the shot yourself. I just requested and made sure it was the single dose, mercury-free shot.

I got it at 10 weeks from my obgyn. I never get it otherwise but my pregnant friends have gotten the flu in the past and I can't imagine going through that.
