Update 1/4...What is a good beta?
My sister went for her beta today and it was a 90. She is 11dp5dt. They said they are cautiously optimistic. She goes back Sat for a recheck and I told her that they are looking for her numbers to double by then. But is 90 a good or not great number?
Update: So my sister went this morning and her beta is up to 290!!! They scheduled a sono for 1/14. I'm so excited!!!

Anything over 20 from what i've heard is good. I wouldn't be worried by 90. Congrats to her!

My first beta at 11dp6dt was 451, but Im pretty sure two implanted but only the one grew.
90 is a good number. It should double at her next beta.

I think that a beta of over 50 means that the embryo implanted and is moving on to the next stage. So they definitely have reason to be optimistic!

Edited to say: I just googled average Betas. One site says that the average beta at 16 dpo is 95; another says it's 212. So your sister is somewhere in the normal/low-normal range.

At 14dpiui my beta was a 60, so I think 90 is a great starting number! Wishing her lots of luck!

It's not so important what the first number is, just that it doubles. Everyone starts at 0 (not pg) and goes up.

doubles every 48 hrs
either way anything above 50 initially is very good sign

Being above 50 is positive. The more important number is the second one. Betas should double in 72 hours.

At 16dpo (13dp3dt) with DS, my beta was 70. I think that number is fine!
