Gender dissapointment

I know this has been posted before, sorry

.I am team green. I have 2 boys already and I am dying for a girl. I am so afraid of my reaction in the delivery room. I want a girl so I feel complete.Of course I will be happy with a healthy baby, but I can't knock this sadness. My pregnancy is pretty much the same as both boys, and everyone keeps saying boy.

Oh well, just wanted to vent.

Well, I really can't relate personally, but I can totally understand how you would feel that way. I just want to tell you though, that EVERY time I see a mama with her three boys, I just melt (maybe because my DH is the 3rd of Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon )! My BIL and SIL have three boys--23, 19, 16--and as I watched them take their Christmas picture in front of their tree on Christmas Eve, I just thought about how proud she must be as the "queen of the castle!"

I hope you get what you want--but whatever you get is what you were meant to have...another little perfect soul for your family!

Oh, and ETA: all three of my pregnancies were virtually identical and I've got Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I do hope you get your girl. I am sure if you do, those boys will protect their little sister to no end!
I know you will be happy with any healthy baby.
My cousin has three boys and they are truly spectacular together.

Re: Gender dissapointment

I hope you get a girl, but I imagine that even if you have another boy you will be fine in the delivery room...all the excitement of the moment will take over....I would think anyway.

Why not find out the gender now? This way if it is a boy you have time to process...just a thought.

Good luck!

Re: Gender dissapointment

I'm in the same position. I have two boys and I really want a girl. I always imagined myself with a daughter. Probably because I grew up around a lot of girls. I was going to wait and be surprised in the delivery room but decided to find out at 20 week Sono. I want some time to process things if they say boy.
I'm waiting for this post to get ugly, hoping it doesn't.
I of course want a healthy baby I mean who doesn't. That is my number one priority for every pregnant women. But I would be lying if I said I'm not going to be a little disappointed if they say boy. Of course this baby will be loved either way.
When do you find out?

Re: Gender dissapointment

I feel the same way! I know that I want a healthy baby and all that jazz but this is my last baby (as I am getting my tubes tied) and I am hoping for a girl. I find out in a couple weeks so we will see then! Honestly, one of the biggest reasons is that DH names for a boy are RIDICULOUS!

Re: Gender dissapointment

I experienced gender dissapointment after my Level 2. I will have 3 boys. My sister has 2 boys and just found out her 3rd is a girl and that stung a little to be honest. I was VERY upset for a while after finding out as I always thought I would have a daughter so I had to make peace that I will never have this relationship in my life. It is hard. When we announced on Facebook, some people immediately asked about having another which made me feel very sad. Please FM me to you want to discuss further!

Re: Gender dissapointment

I hope you get a girl since you want that badly, but as mom to three little boys I can honestly say that it's an amazing thing. They love me so fiercely, as you already know, a mother/son relationship is so special. When I found out about #3 (my Nolan) my friend said "just picture your sons all grown up someday, standing around the breakfast table chatting with you" lol. The image made me smile. Good luck with whatever happens!! Babies are amazing, and if its another boy it was very meant to be!!

Gender dissapointment

I have three girls. I can't relate personally because I actually hoped for a third girl in many ways. But I watched my husband go through what you are feeling. He really wanted a son. We had a huge blowout fight the nightwe found out our third was another girl. It took a ffew days but hebgot iver it. But, now that our third is here, he loves her so fiercely. He will even admit that he is enjoying the baby experience more now rhan ever before. He is thrilled with three girls. I do know that he still longs for a son, but that does not take away with his love for his girls, or his enjoymemt with them every day. (But he did just tell me he wants a fourth...boy or girl)
