Funny book to read to 1st graders....
I need to bring in a book for my DD's 1st grade class later this week. She said she had no book in mind but insisted she wanted something funny to make the class laugh.
Any great suggestions?

Any of the Fly Guy books are always a hit, also the If you Give a Moose a Muffin, or any of the books in that series.

Funny book to read to 1st graders....
DD is in 1st grade and likes the Mo Williems books especially Don't let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. It's very cute and a great book to read. He also has a few more. She also likes There is a Bird on your Head.

We are also way into the Mo Willems books. The pigeon wants a puppy and Don't let the pigeon stay up late are other ones we like.

We did these in K, but we LOVE Mo Willems. The Pigeon wants a hot dog is funny too

My DD loves those books so she was upset because I read one last year and only about 5 out of 18 kids "got it". I thought it was cute. So I figured I woukd ask this time around.

Thank you I will ask her about some of the Mo Williams books. I had asked about some but she said they were already read by others. I read one last year (read 3 books last time) they were a tough crowd....

When I read to my sons' classes I usually read Julius the Baby of the World or A Weekend With Wendell, both by Kevin Henkes. The kids always love those books.

Love all the books listed. We are also big fans of the Skippyjon Jones books by Judy Schachner.

LOVE Mo Willems - all of them! Even some of the lesser known ones like Edwina - actually, a great one for you! Also what about something like cloudy with a chance of meatballs - my DS loved reading that book!

Thank you I will save this for her birthday. I got a bunch but DD said several were already read. I have three books...not the ones I thought she would pick but they were her choice. Love the if you give a mouse.....etc seriesbut read those last year.
