Thank you Theresa and Joe Guidice (not)
It’s because of people like THEM that normal people like US have to give a blood sample and first born child to get a mortgage.
If the charges are true they basically FALSELY got $4.5 million dollars in mortgages, loans, and Home Equity Loans on thier house.
Its people like them that make it SO difficult for the average guy to get a home.
It’s infuriating.

I am asking this honestly, but did they think they were never going to get caught? It's kind of like Bernie madoff, in the sense you're doing something wrong and one day you will be exposed, so maybe just DON'T DO IT!
It infuriates me too.

My GUESS is they thought that even if they got caught what would happen? Have to pay it back or sell the house?
I HATE to see anyone made an "example" of, especially when they have 4 YOUNG children.
However, you do the crime, you pay the time.
And think about what their children will now have to go through in school. "Your mom and dad are going to prison". Can you imagine how cruel it will be for them?

As much as obtaining a home loan can be a nightmare (been there myself.. Even though I didnt have any issues), I think it's good they make you jump thru hoops. Not only does it keep lenders safe, but also homeowners from ending up way over their heads.

I absolutly agree with you.
However, its because there is so much fraud (re: This story) that its even HARDER.
I think people need to be protected from being in over their head. I do. But its because of people like THEM that its THAT much HARDER.

They put themselves out there by being on that reality show and, if they had skeletons in their closets, perhaps they should not gone on the show.
As for their kids, while I always feel bad for kids in these situations, their parents obviously didn't think or care about how their criminal activities would affect them. Instead, their parents let their greed rule their lives.

I think she'll be spared so she can be with her 4 daughters. Joe, is gonna go away for a long long time.
If Wesley Snipes & Lauren Hill got prison time, then so should this asshole. He'll probably get deported though.

I don't feel sorry for these people at all, and i hate to say it but i don't feel sorry for the kids. Why should i? because their parents were stupid ANd chose to put their lives all over some reality show? They've reaped plenty of benefits from that i'm sure.

I saw this on channel 11 news last night. They said that if they are found guilty and don't take a plea deal they could get 55 yrs in prison and/or Joe could be deported back to Italy since he's not an American citizen.
Chances are they'll take a plea deal. I'm just glad this is happening here because if it was Cali they would get off and walk away scott free.
A lawyer interviewed also said that the show can 100% be used against them in court.
They have different attorney's so their sentences may be different depending on the charges they are found guilty of, if any.

I feel bad for their kids too. They will be followed by the idiotic things their parents did for their entire lives and it isn't just this. Their dad called their mom the c word on tv...these kids are going to be majorly screwed up. But, if they were concerned about their kids they would have conducted themselves differently. Time to pay the piper!

It is infuriating but trust me I'm pretty sure 90% of the cast of all the Housewives series has done type of shady ish like this. It's frustrating for those of us trying to do things the "right" way. The only ones I feel bad for are their children..4 little girls who have such disgusting role models as parents.

If deported, it would be after he serves his sentence.
Oh ok -- because I was like, that is cheesy! He should have to serve his sentence - not escape the whole thing by flitting off to Italy.
