Newborn clothes

So I went for a growth sono yesterday and they told me Chat Icon is already measuring at 8lbs 8oz (I'm 37 weeks). I know they can be off but I'm guessing he's def gonna be over 8lbs at least. I had bought a bunch of newborn stuff do you think I should return it all?
My DD was 6lbs 12oz and wore NB clothes for 2mths at least. But alot of the 3mth stuff looks so big so I'm torn! I have some of the Gap stuff in 0-3mths so that would prob be best..

I'm not bothering with newborn clothes because most babies I know, boys especially, didn't last more than a few weeks in them.

Dd was born 8lb 5oz (two days before she was born they estimated her at 8lb 14oz)
She wore newborn for such a short time IMO it's not worth it
If you want one or two newborn outfits (to take home in) is say go for it but otherwise you'll be ok with 0-3 month size

My DS was 8lbs5oz and 19.5" at birth. He wore NB clothes for 6-8 weeks, I wouldn't return any clothes, but don't take the tags off just yet.

I would get a NB coming home outfit and a pack of NB onesies and 1-3 sleep n plays. My DS was estimated big so I bought everything 0-3 and he was swimming in everything. By the time we left the hospital he was 6+ lbs so we had some time in NB. Luckily people bought him some NB things. I just am not a fan of babies in big clothing.

DD2 was 6 lbs 11 oz and is 5 weeks now and has been out of newborn for a week already, so I say get a NB take home outfit and 2 NB sleep and plays and the rest 0-3 month. They measured DD at 7 lbs 1 oz a week before she was born, so they are often wrong!

I plan on buying a few NB size clothing not too much. My last 2 were 5lbs and changers so they were in NB for a while(a couple of months). I have a feeling this DD will be a 6lb'er. I will buy maybe 3-5 NB outfits and a few packs of the onesies(no plans on going out the first few weeks) then get 0-3 mos or 3 mos size.

Re: Newborn clothes

DS was born at 7lbs 14oz and could've worn NB clothing for at least a month. But, I only had 1 NB outfit for him. I just put him in 3 month, rolled up the sleeves and let him grow into it. Babies grow out of clothing so quickly, I didn't feel I needed even more stuff to store away! Skip the NB sizes.

DS was 9lbs 5 oz at birth and he definitely wore newborn clothes for a few weeks but that was about it. I mainly put him in stuff I received as gifts.

DS was 8lbs at birth and put his birth weight back on after a week. He was only in NB clothes for about 3 weeks tops. 0-3 lasts much longer!

My DD was 8lbs 1 oz at birth and wore NB for 2 months.

I'd hold onto them just in case.

Re: Newborn clothes

DS was born 7.8lbs and had minimal newborn clothes, mostly onsies. Since he was eating a lot and gained 2 lbs in almost three weeks I put him in 3 month outfits and they fit him just fine. DS is only 5 weeks old.
