Mad Men 6/9 --- Spoilers
So Bob Benson is apparently gay? I was really hoping his story was bigger than that. All of these conspiracy theories really got my hopes up that it was something else.

OMG, indeed! I saw it coming when she asked the doorman for keys...
I just hate that they are letting Peggy's story hang in the air. I want something to happen with her... After all the testosteron hanging around her in the past few episodes, all she ended up with was a fat orange cat...

Bob Benson's story HAS to be bigger than that....I still say Peggy and Pete's baby is the one we all saw in season 2 and her sister is caring for that child. I find it Ironic that both are single and not together. Something is going to happen with Peggy I just wonder who it's going to be with. Also I really think Megan is going to die, (morbid I know) but I can't shake it.

I hope there's more to Bob Benson than him being gay. There has to be.
Both hubs and I were like OH NO! during the Sally scene...
this season is almost over... still waiting for something huge but I like it.
Moving onto the whole Megan is going to die theory...

They already had a gay character (Sal the art director), so the Bob Benson thing has to be more than that, totally agree!
Horrible how Don handled the Sally thing - i mean he just gives her some lame ass excuse and walks away? ugh.

Someone explain to me what Don did for Mitchell? I missed that...what favor did he do for him?
Also..who else noticed that the doorman that was changing in the lobby that the usual doorman yelled at - had an IPOD and EARBUDS in

Holy shit. I went back just now to rewatch and saw this.
I looked in the TWOP Mad Men forum and they said that it's a transistor radio, and that it's not unusual for the time period. Hmmm. It still gave me a WTF moment!!!

I was reading recaps of the episode and saw this about Bob being gay and thought it was interesting....
"Plus, maybe when he comes on to Pete he’s playing a hunch. Bob is very, very good at playing hunches; he’s not always the most artful guy when it comes to expressing them and turning them into proposals or pitches, but his batting average so far has been quite good: Sure, there was that early flub at Roger’s mother’s funeral, but think about how he bucked up Michael, and what a comfort he was to Joan. What if he knows something about Pete that Pete doesn’t know about himself? What if Pete is gay and is so deep in the closet that he doesn’t even know he’s in the closet? Mitchell is in danger of being drafted since he's the next one up. Don asked Ted to call his friend to get Michelle in to the Air National Guard so he can avoid general draft.
Mitchell was 4F because he was a student... he had a student deferment. In protest of the war, he did a stupid thing and mailed his draft card back to Selective Service. He then had his student deferment taken away and was reclassified as 1A... in other words, he could be called up at any moment. That's why his parents were freaking out.

I remember transistor radios, but I didn't realize ear-bud type headphones went back that far. Found a pic:
