baby shower
I need to plan a baby shower for my best friend preferbaly in Suffolk. Any suggestions? Places to stay away from?
eta: just spoke to her cousin and now nassau is ok so either in NASSAU or SUFFOLK

We looked at the Venetian Yacht club and that looked really nice! Also Fox Hollow (which I think may technically be in Nassau but close to Suffolk) .. I know they're fancier than the typical places so depends on what you're looking for. These are catering halls and our person range was 50-80.

I've been to or had parties at Captain Bills, Snapper Inn, Shandon Court, Medleys, The Post Office and they all were excellent.

Try the Lucky Duck in Garden City South on Nassau Blvd. It's not far from the Southern State in Nassau and Anthony is VERY helpful!!!! We do almost all our family parties there.

We had our rehearsal dinner here, I love their food!!
I've been to showers at:
Waterzooi in Garden City
Uncle Bacala's in New Hyde Park
Garden Grill in Smithtown
Johnathan's in New Hyde Park (my bridal shower)
I would suggest all of the above, they were all great!

Mine was at Butera's in smithtown but they have a few locations. They did a FANTASTIC job! THe food there is fabulous!

I think they went out of business. 
I loved them so if you know where they are I would love to go there again. They used to be I the Bayshore area.

I also like Captain Bills in Bay Shore. Had my rehearsal dinner there. Westbury Manor had good pricing for my bridal shower and was amazing.
