Hours in Miracle Blanket

My 7 week old daughter was giving us the hardest time going to sleep at night....until we got the miracle blanket!!! Hooray - now she has been sleeping for good chunks at night! Last night was from 10:30-6:30!!!!

The only thing that is making me nervous is that the packaging of the miracle blanket says don't allow the baby to me in the blanket for more than 8 hours straight and do not let the baby be in the blanket for more than 10 hours a day.

Last night I put her in the blanket around 8:30 and nursed her (she nurses for like an hour at bedtime) She was still awake after that, I rocked her to sleep and then she slept to 6:30 so she was in the swaddle for 10 hours straight - is that bad?

Also - I can't get her to nap during the day. She will fall alseep in my arms, I put her down then she wakes up 5-10 minutes later (I think it's the startle reflex) I think swaddling her during the day for naps might help but I'm worried about swaddling her for too long....I don't want to mess up her development of her motor skills by keeping her swaddled for too long.

How many hours a day have other people used a miracle blanket or swaddle for?

I honestly never even looked on the package and kept DS in the miracle blanket all night, it's the only thing that worked for him. Once he started breaking out of that, we had to do CIO because nothing else worked.

I never read the packaging either. My 5 month old is still in it all night long for 12 hours and has been since about 2 weeks old.

We just stopped swaddling DD, but previously she would be in it from 8:30pm - 7am. Never had any issues.
