This is so effing absurd. And again, I can't say anything as eloquently as Jon Stewart:
"Because of this group who is so paranoid about a POSSIBLE dystopic future, we are unable to address our ACTUAL dystopic present."
Prayers to those affected by this latest tragedy, and really prayers for all of us because this is the world we are being forced to live in.

I totally agree with the gun control issue BUT what frustrates me is that there is now a huge focus on getting rid of or controlling these terrible weapons but I haven't heard a thing, not one thing about revamping the mental health system in this country. We can take all the legal guns away and these children and adults suffering these mental issues untreated would still find away to do harm to others and themselves and what a horrible way to live life without the support and overhaul of the system they need regardless of whether they hurt themselves or others. I can't imagine needed mental help and not being able to get it, what a nightmare.
We need an overhaul for them, for their parents and families and for our own children and families for their safety.

So far they stopped some kid from shooting up his school. He was days away from doing it.
This happens.
I said to my husband during Newtown "Mark my words, there is now going to be a rash of copycat shootings".
Sad to see it came true, but I FULLY expected it.
I wish the news would stop reporting it.

TOTALLY AGREE
Mental health should be a focus
Guns won't just stop showing up in their hands no matter HOW MANY LAWS you make! Generally its not a sane responsible gun owner doing the killings.
PS: It was a shotgun. Want to ban those too? A lot of them are single shot. Now what?

This is getting so out of hand. As a teacher, I find it sad that schools are no longer safe. How does a student even get into school with a shotgun?? I try to be an optimist but lately with all that is going on in this world.....it's getting very hard.
