Rash around mouth after eating peanut butter?

I think that DS may have a slight PB allergy. I gave him peanut butter about 3 weeks ago and he developed a rash around his mouth. Stopped giving it to him and the rash went away. Tried it again today and the rash is back. The rash is red, raised and pimply looking. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

What do I do? Do you recommend seeing an allergist? Could it possibly go away? I am going to call pedi on Monday.

My DS got this the second time he had PB (he was fine the first time). His eyes swelled a bit too. I followed up with an allergist and he is allergic to peanuts. I would have him tested just to be sure. They tested him for all the major allergens, so now I know for sure what he can/can't have.

Do you think that I should be worried about any other symptoms appearing as he sleeps tonight? He ate the PB at 11:45 and the rash appeared throughout the day. Wound up giving him Benedryl as per pedi.

I would 100% get him tested as it definitely could be an allergy. But my Dd got this when I gave her soynut butter. She tested negative both in prick test and in blood work for soy.

I would give benedryl and make an appointment with an allergist. I found out my ds had a peanut allergy after kissing him after i ate peanut butter. it is too risky i wouldnt give to him anymore

This is how I realized my DD was allergic to peanuts. I would have your DC tested to be sure.
