New Years Eve with toddler

Anyone have any ideas for what to do with a toddler on New Year's Eve? We were thinking of going out to dinner somewhat early and then going home.

Does anyone know of any fun restaurants on New Year's Eve?

Or a diff. idea?

Thanks!

We have our friends with children over then no one has to worry about a sitter. We set up pack n plays in one room for the small kids and the bigger kids sleep in another. Anyone who wants stays over, others then pack up their sleeping children and take them home.

We go to a friends house also...

Last year all the kids (aged from 7 to 7 months) were all still up at midnight!

We had a lot of fun!

My kids can't really stay up late or we pay for it big time the next day.

We tried going out to a friends house for DD's first NYE and she was just really cranky. So, for the past 3 years we actually enjoy a nice night at home and I make everyone's favorite apps.

So I would suggest maybe friendly's early, then come home and have snacks or ice cream?

Thanks for the suggestions! We decided on a restaurant in Port Jeff. We'll walk around, then have an early dinner and go home.

Same question, but with a 5-year-old. :) I was planning on the LI Aquarium, but it's sold out! Waaaah! So far, Safari Adventure is my top pick. Wondered if there's anything else that's more family-oriented instead of just kid-oriented... make sense?

Re: New Years Eve with toddler

We are going to Left Coast in Merrick.

They are going to be festive but, are refusing to charge huge feess with mandatroy drink packages. Regular menu.

They have a 6:30 seating. We are going there and then heading home. We usually go to my friends house but, she has cats (dh is highly allergic) and it just lends itself to an overall miserable situation because Liam refuses to sleep and just gets crankier and crankier.

Re: New Years Eve with toddler

we just have a playdate with our BFFs, order pizza, then give the kids noisemakers and let them run around like nuts! we hook a dance party playlist up to our big speaker and turn on our crazy DJ light and fog machine for a dance party with the kids (but that is every playdate in our house).
