Getting together with other childless folks

Would love to connect with other childfree people here on the island. My DH has a daughter (grown) from a prior marriage, but we have no children together.

I have discovered LI is such a "family oriented" place - and that's perfectly fine - but when you don't fit into that social segment it can be a bit lonely.

Anyone else out there feel the same?

I hear you. Dh and I have a good circle of friends but most of them are either parents or single. That's fine because we are still friends and haven't lost touch but get togethers are rare with the exception of visiting each others homes. I sometimes feel "left out" when the main topic of conversation is the kids, especially when they are school aged. However, they are always quick to say enjoy your freedom, enjoy your nights out and that they wished they had the luxury of just "piicking up" and going w no babysitter needed. So my dh and I do ourselves and if an opportunity presents itself to hang w them, then great.

Where on long island do you live? I live in nassau.
