When you got your DD's ear pierced
What did they pierce it with, gold, stainless steel or titanium? I am prone to ear infections and allergic to most metal but gold. I was wondering if I should pierce DD's ears with gold too just to be safe.

They used surgical steel posts.

We went to our ped and they actually used medical grade plastic. The posts were clear plastic with a "diamond". They use them for the very reason of allergies. DD had no problems with them.

Us too! They are great... maintenance free..no cleaning or turning! No problems!

This is what our ped used. DD was 4 months old. That was the youngest the ped would do it.
