Car seat
When did you put your DC into a regular car seat rather than the infant carrier? I know it would be rear facing but just wondering how old and how much did they weigh! TIA

I plan on getting my son out of the infant car seat soon, he is 6mths and weighs 19lbs. The problem is not so much the weight but his length. In this infant seat his feet touch the car seat and they get mushed so I think its time for an upgrade.

DS was 9 months old when we put him in his big car seat. He was way under the height and weight limit on his infant seat. He was more comfortable on long car rides in it..

We moved DS at 7.5 months because he was getting close to the max length of our seat (29in). My DD is 4 months and she is still in the infant seat but is 25 inches long so I imagine we will switch her around the same time.

DD is 6 months and 20lbs. We just bought a convertible car seat because the weight max on her infant car seat is 22lbs.

I have graco 35's. My girls are 14 months. 29 inches and 18/16 lbs and still in the infant carrier

Thank you so much for the replies. My DD is 7 months and 17 1/2 lbs but it looks like she is starting to get uncomfortable. I will probably switch her over soon!

DD was 10 months.
She could have stayed in a lot longer before hitting the weight limit- but she was hitting the height limit.
I still miss that thing... I can't stand the regular car seat- so annoying.

My first 3 made the switch at 4 months(20 lbs). My 4th baby we skipped the infant seat. Went straight into a rear facing convertible from birth but we would have made the switch around 4 months with him to since he was heavy.

We moved ds 1 at 10 mos and DS 2 just shy of 8 mos (he's taller). While I miss the ease of the infant seat, DS 2 seems much more comfortable in the convertible.
