Curious about those that sell Partylite, Arbonne etc etc

Is the money that is made really alot? I used to sell Avon year ago. I think for the year that I did it, I spent more money than I made. i had to buy all the samples, books, bags etc.
I am looking into something that i can do party time on the side at my leisure.
Anyone have any experiance with any of these types of jobs?

Thanks!

I wouldn't get into any of these types of businesses looking to make a fortune right away. However you can become very successful with time. Like any other business, you will get out of it what you put in. There will be months where you make close to nothing but if you keep working your business and planting seeds, you will reap the benefits in a few months. I came out ahead with my business after my first party and definitely make more then I spend on supplies and such. I'm being cryptic with what I sell because there is already a consultant on here. Out of respect and to not get in trouble for soliciting, I won't mention the company I'm an independent consultant for. My suggestion is whatever you do decide to join, get to know your potential sponsor. Having a friendly and knowledgable sponsor is a spring board to success.

A good friend of mine sold Tastefully Simple for years and did very well. She spent much less than she made and I know that it supplemented her income to the extent that they were able to buy their dream home out of state. She's still involved with it to an extent but doesn't do it as much because she's just gotten licensed as a health coach. FM me if you want and I can put you in touch with her. I know she's helped lots of people get started in the business.

I agree with LoriH. I'm an independent consultant for Scentsy after trying out Lia Sophia for a year. With Lia, I spent much more then what I got back. I found that by the time I jumped on the train, so many have had people they already worked with & it was tough to book parties & actually make out.

With Scentsy, I find it easier bc you actually have a reoccurring customer as new products come out & they run out of scents they enjoy. Plus I find since the cost of the items are under $50, people are more inclined to try it out if they never hve. That's actually how I got stArted. I've had months though where I have nothing. Just know going in if you have people in mind you'd like to solicit & if they would be willing to help you get started.

Just wanted to add that my grandparents had an Amway business for EVER and my grandmother is still involved with it. THAT is a scam, in my opinion. Amway goes by the name of Quixtar now, IIRC.

It definitely is worth it! I originally signed in just to make a little $$ back in the products I bought for personal use. But I found it pretty easy to sell scentsy, especially since I love the products! I signed up to sell as of may 1 and have already promoted to director and earned a free, all expense paid trip for me AND my husband to Hawaii, costa rica or a few other places (we get to choose)

I realize not everyone will advance as quickly as I have, so won't promise you that. You definitely get out of it, what you put in. I post a ton on fb, here and in other forums and groups to gain exposure.

Scentsy is only $99 to join and it is 100% possible to make that back, plus more, in just your first month.

Feel free to pm me if u had any questions about joining scentsy! My team is amazing! We had 12 promotions last month (2 people promoted twice in one month as well!) and 5 award winners. We're the team to join :)

I posted on the FHF page, but yes you can make money. It definitely is what you put into it though. Definitely find something you love for yourself, because if you don't love the products you won't be able to sell them.

I just started selling Thirty-One bags and I am looking forward to creating a good stream of income by networking and doing party after party. I am not relying on it for income, but I could make use of the extra $$. I love these bags so much so it's like a hobby that I can make money doing!

I just started selling Scentsy last month. So far, it's been very successful! And, not much commitment. If it doesn't work out, I'm not out anything.

Re: Curious about those that sell Partylite, Arbonne etc etc

I have been doing Pampered Chef for a year.

I am a big cook and I always liked their products, then I got laid off a few months after I gave birth to my DD...more than money, I was worried about my sanity. I loved going to work because it got me out of the house and gave me adults to talk to Chat Icon The money was nice...but I knew we'd be alright.

I signed on for $149 and I got a HUGE kit...I also had a lot of my own stuff from going to parties for years.

For me...it is a lot of work, because I have to bring all this stuff to peoples homes and put on a little cooking show....but I do feel like I get "out" every once in awhile...and I get some decent commission checks. I use my commission as extra money...to sign up for a pricey Mommy & Me....or buy myself something I wouldn't have on our regular budget....I was even able to pay for my daughters ENTIRE birthday party with my January checks Chat Icon

It's a nice way to make a little extra money as long as you don't COUNT on it and you are okay with an inconsistent income...some months I do well...and others I don't...but I felt it was easy to make my initial investment back.

my cousins sell it and we cant get them to see how it is a scam. They go on trips for "the business" have meetings. They give away so much product too i dont see how they think they are making money

I sell Vintage Couture clothing and I love it and the clothes! I make 20% off every sale and there are no quotas AND I get an awesome discount on the clothes! Every trunks show I do feels like a Mom's Night Out that I am getting paid for! Let me know if you want more info.
